ASR-Acceleration Slip Regulation
Acceleration Slip Regulation prevents the driving wheels of vehicles, especially high-powered vehicles, from slipping when starting and re-accelerating, so as to maintain the stability of the vehicle's driving direction. The difference between ASR and ABS is that ABS prevents the wheels from being locked and causing side slipping during braking, while ASR prevents side slipping caused by driving wheel slipping during acceleration. ASR is an expansion of ABS, and the two complement each other.
