As a global leader in parts suppliers for the commercial vehicle industry, ZF has a leading position in systems such as braking, steering, transmission, suspension and chassis, and in technical fields such as autonomous driving, electric drive, networking and fleet digital solutions. To provide high-quality integrated solutions, almost all commercial vehicle OEMs cannot do without the technical and product support of ZF.

In May 2020, ZF acquired WABCO and established the Commercial Vehicle Control System Division. In January 2022, the ZF Commercial Vehicle Solutions Division was established and officially completed the integration, with more professional system technology, a wider product portfolio and better global operating capabilities.
The past 10 years have witnessed the subversive development of the global automotive industry, and electrification, automation and intelligence have developed into several major waves of the automotive industry. In the once-in-a-century industry change, enterprises are facing huge challenges. Whether they can quickly identify trends and transform in a timely manner can be said to be the decisive factor in surviving this change.
In its financial report seven years ago, ZF predicted that efficiency, safety and automated driving would become the three major trends in future travel. Among them, efficiency involves fuel consumption, emissions, electrification, and the utilization of environmental information around the vehicle; safety mainly covers sensors, high-resolution cameras, software algorithms, and on-board computing power; autonomous driving is considered to be the core factor shaping future road traffic.

It is precisely based on the prediction of the future development trend of the automotive industry that ZF has rapidly transformed, focused on future travel, and signed a large number of business contracts with new customers in the three core areas of electric drive, autonomous driving and software development. In the list of the top 100 global auto parts suppliers, ZF's ranking jumped from the top 20 to the top three, and its revenue also increased from 18.4 billion euros in 2014 to 38.3 billion euros in 2021. It is also expected to exceed 40 billion euros for the first time.
At present, ZF Group's successful solutions in the fields of autonomous driving, intelligent interconnection and electrification have won the trust of commercial vehicle customers around the world, setting a new benchmark for the industry in terms of safety, efficiency and sustainable development.
ZF's next-generation AMT transmission products
Based on the next-generation AMT transmission TraXon 2 developed by TraXon, equipped with an electronic control unit (ECU) and shift actuator independently designed and produced by ZF, it is even better in terms of fuel saving and emission reduction. Its more advanced software functions can further improve fuel efficiency and driving comfort, and meet the requirements of network information security regulations to ensure information security. The product will be mass-produced in China in 2024.
