Do you know what the ZF TraXon transmission models mean?

Let's take 12TX2420 TD as an example to explain what each item represents?

As shown in the figure, the following is divided into 7 items：

First, 12 represents the number of gears; 

Second, TX represents the transmission model TraXon automatic transmission;

Third, 24 represents the transmission input torque = number * 100; 

Fourth, 2 represents the product family: 1 = Series 12.1, 2 = Series 12.2, 4 = Series 16;

Fifth, 0 = Standard version, 1 = With hydraulic retarder, 5 = With PTO (power take-off); 

Sixth, T = Truck, B = Bus, S = Special vehicle, D = Dust-proof vehicle, W = Wading vehicle; 

Seventh, O = Overdrive, D = Direct drive
